1995 The Beginning
After playing together for several tournaments, the SF Pacers divided up their team after winning the Seattle tournament. Daryle Morgan and Mark Johnson formed Above the Pacific Rim (ATPR), while Alex Herrera, Rhea Taylor and Joe Robinson went on to form the Rockdogs.
1995 Inaugural Boston Tea Party Classic
Picking up an unknown player at the train station (Francis Broome), this was the debut of the San Francisco Rockdogs, where the new (undersized) team that featured Alex Herrerra, Joe Robinson, Martin Williams, Francis Broome, Tony Jasinski, Earl Chisholm, Robert Burgess and Dwight Dunn won first place at the first Boston Tea Party Classic. Beating the newly formed Above the Pacific Rim.
1998 Gay Games V Amsterdam
In the 1998 Games in Amsterdam, SF RDs took the Gold Medal with an exciting win over Long Beach. The Rock Dogs won the Gold due to the overall dominance of a fast-breaking team which featured 5 players in double-figures, led by Martin Williams and Rhea Taylor. Two players, Francis Broome and Dwight Dunn locked down the boards with double-figures in rebounds. Great second half play by new-Dog Francis Broome and an ultra-clutch four point play by Mark Johnson late in the game sealed the victory. Daryle Morgan stepped in as coach to assist Alex Herrera who was a player/coach for these Games. This would be the last tournament the original team was to ever play together.
2002 Gay Games VI Sydney
The Rockdogs were beaten by the eventual Gold Medal team in the semi-finals by a single point and ultimately did not medal at these Games. As Alex Herrera would later say..."That won't happen again."

2006 Gay Games VII Chicago
Rockdogs win gold medal in Gay Games VII with a roster of Alex Herrera, Bill Kendall, Christopher Johnson, Clinton Walker, DeMarco Majors, Francis Broome, Jamel Lewis, Jay White, Joe Robinson, Mike Survillion, Peter Hannibal, Courtney Pope, and Rory Ray.
2006 Salt Lake City Tournament
Rockdogs win 1st place in the tournament held in October...it is the first NGBA-sanctioned tournament.

2007 San Diego Hillcrest Classic
Rockdogs win 1st place with Mike Survillion awarded the Most Outstanding Player for the tournament.
2007 Coady Roundball Classic (Chicago)
Rockdogs win 1st place, and Clinton Walker of the RockDogs was awarded the Martin Williams Outstanding Player Award for the tournament.
2007 London Cruisers Tournament
Held August 25-26 in London, the San Francisco Rockdogs take 1st place.
2007 Memphis River City Tournament
Held in Memmphis October 27-28, the Rockdogs take 2nd place in the tournament. Losing to the Los Angeles/Chicago Freeze in first tournament for Simon Griffin, Stuart Leung and Windell Austin with Dwight Dunn rejoining the team after 9 years. The loss in the finals breaks not only a almost two-year unbeaten streak but also ends the Rockdog's streak of tournament wins (8).

2008 WCCIII Los Angeles Tournament
Rockdogs win 1st place in the third annual West Coast Classic, held January 19-20. The WCC is held for the first time in Los Angeles (previously held twice in Long Beach).
2008 Shirts & Skins begins filming in San Francisco
In March/April, Rockdogs players Christopher Johnson, DeMarco Majors, Jamel Lewis, Mike Survillion, Peter Hannibal, and Rory Ray enter a house in the Mission district in San Francisco to be filmed for the LOGO Network show, Shirts vs. Skins. They will be filmed for three weeks.
2008 Rockdogs vs. SF Fire Department
The Rockdogs take on the San Francisco Fire Department. The game starts out close in the first half, but the Rockdogs eventually pull away in the second half eventually winning by 30+ points.

Rockdogs vs. ABA Team San Francisco Rumble
On March 25, the San Francisco Rockdogs had the honor of playing the local ABA (American Basketball Association) team, the San Francisco Rumble. Shaking off early nerves, which found the Rockdogs down 21 at halftime, the Rockdogs chipped away at the lead, playing the Rumble tough into the second half, but couldn't quite get it done--they lost by ten points, 51-41.
Old Rockdogs vs. New Rockdogs
A roster of older era players including Mark Johnson, Alex Herrerra, Dwight Dunn, Daryle Morgan, Stephon Hamm, Jim Oakley, Pete Myers, James McDermott, Jeff Backhaus and coached by Tony Jasinski were put together to challenge the young Rockdogs in an exhibition game held at the Collingwood Gym in the heart of the Castro.
2008 Sheryl Swoopes Visit
The Rockdog team had the pleasure of meeting Sheryl Swoopes when she stopped over in San Francisco, on her way to begin her first season with the WNBA team, the Seattle Storm. Sheryl hung out with the team to chat about life, coming out, and basketball.
2008 Coady Classic XVIII (Chicago)
The Rockdogs take 1st place, defeating the LA/Chicago Freeze. Guard/Forward Jamel Lewis of the Rock Dogs was awarded the Martin Williams Outstanding Player Award for the tournament. This was the 18th Coady Classic held April 5-6. (18th Coady Classic Ready to Roll)
2008 Official Rockdogs Website Launched
On September 1, the official Rockdog website is launched. Check out Rockdogs.tv or Rockdogsbasketball.com
2008 Capitol Classic (Washington D.C.)
The Rockdogs went undefeated (5-0) on their way to winning the 2008 Capitol Classic held in Washington D.C. Since losing in Sacramento's tournament in April 2006, the Rockdogs have since accumulated a 47-1 record over the next 9 tournaments winning first in 8 of those tourneys.

Hillcrest Classic (San Diego)
On January 17-18, 2009 the SF Rockdogs won the 2009 Hillcrest Classic against the hometown San Diego team with a roster of Jamel Lewis, Windell Austin, Stuart Leung, Francis Broome, Courtney Pope, Chris Johnson, Jay White, Siimon Griffin, nd Earl Chisolm . With this win, the Rockdogs have accumulated a 52-1 record over the last three years, and in the last 10 NGBA tournaments, they've won 9 of those tourneys.
Golden Gate City League (San Francisco)
Five of the Bay Area Rockdogs participated in the Golden Gate city league in the North Beach district of San Francisco. The team of Simon, Peter, Chris, Stuart, and former Rockdog Laz, used speed, athleticism, and outside shooting to overcome their lack of size to win King of the Court.
2009 Coady Classic (Chicago)
In April 209, the Rockdogs won their 3rd consecutive National Tournament, capturing the 2009 Coady Classic. Behind strong play from Jamel Lewis, Windell Austin, Mike Survillion, and Pete Hannibal, the Rockdogs went through their six tournament matches without a defeat.
Mikey joins Summer Pro Am (San Francisco)
Mikey was named to the roster for the East Bay summer Pro Am league which eventually won the Pro Am Summer league that featured current and former college and professional players Matt Barnes (Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, UCLA), Adonal Foyle (Colgate, Golden State Warriors, Orlando Magic), Jovan Harris (USF, NBDL), Jeremy Lin (Harvard), and 2009 Pro Am co-MVPs Landry Fields and Tim Kennedy.
