The Rockdogs are a gay basketball team based in San Francisco, California, USA. The team is comprised of mostly-local players of varying age but very different and diverse ethnic backgrounds. The Rockdogs, along with the other team, "Shock", sponsored by the  SFGBA, travel to basketball tournaments in the United States and Europe representing San Francisco. 

Some of the Rockdog's accolades include winning Gold at the Gay Games in Amsterdam (1998) and Chicago (2006), as well as several national tournaments held domestically and internationally. 

Though we share a bond through basketball and come together on the court, we hope to effect social change off the court, by addressing the similarities and differences that exist between the gay and straight communities. 

Our hope is to break existing stereotypes and show that gay men have always participated and excelled in sports at all levels. 

The Rockdogs are a family, dedicated to the sport and one another.
